Richmond Wildlife is an academic project where the goal was to use photoshop to create a believable fictional image. Inspired by the lack of space and wildlife in many parts of the Bay Area, my goal was to create a space where livestock could be seen in what is one of the most popular dog parks in Richmond, Point Isabel.
Needing as clear a picture as possible, I captured the image of Point Isabel during the day, and transformed it to a dreamy night hue. The sheep and moon were public found images selected from other photos and brought into this night scape.
Using Photoshop I grounded the sheep with shadows cast by the bright moon. I also gave the moon a watery reflection, adding to this fictional story.
